3 Teens Shot, 1 Fatally Near Antioch BART Station: Police

The Contra Costa County coroner's office has identified an 18-year-old shot and killed early Monday.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — An 18-year-old who was fatally shot in Antioch early Monday morning has been identified as Jordan Martin, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 2700 block of Hillcrest Avenue, near the Antioch BART station, at 1:17 a.m.

Arriving officers found two victims, including Martin, who died at the scene. The second victim, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery for his gunshot wounds, police said.

A third victim, a 17-year-old boy, was not at the scene when police arrived but sought treatment at a hospital for injuries that were later linked to the shooting.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a confrontation between the victims and another group of people.

Information about the suspects was not immediately available.
