2 Sex Assaults At UC Berkeley Under Investigation

The latest victim met her attacker through an online dating site.

BERKELEY, CA — UC Berkeley police are asking for the public's help in identifying two sexual assault suspects in separate cases dating back to Aug. 1.

The first incident occurred at the Recreational Sports Facility on Aug. 1 around 9:30 a.m., when a man who was taking a shower was allegedly groped by another man who reached through a shower curtain while
masturbating, according to police.

The second incident occurred around 9 p.m. Sunday when a woman who met a man on a online dating website was allegedly sexually assaulted by him near the Campanile area of the UC Berkeley campus.

The suspect in the first case was described as a man who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and around 25-35 years old. The second suspect was only described by police as a man.
