Best Prom Ever? The Chainsmokers Perform At Huntley Prom

The band took their show on the road Saturday night, making a surprise stop at the Huntley HS prom.

ROSEMONT, IL -- For most teenagers, it's a night to remember, and students at Huntley High School certainly won't forget their prom. Chart-topping pop duo DJs The Chainsmokers crashed the party, performing their hit song "Closer" during a pitstop at the Hyatt Regency Saturday night. The band was performing Saturday night at the Allstate Arena just across the street.

The band Tweeted a photo of the surprised students, noting, "Crashed this prom just now. It was across the street from our arena show, so why not :)"

The Chainsmokers wished the students well after heading over to Allstate for their show: "Just crashed Huntley High schools prom! That was awesome! have a good rest of prom."

The prom night performance happened after students emailed the band, but the students didn't know for sure that the group was coming. The Chainsmokers coordinated the surprise performance with the Huntley High School principal, according to CBS Chicago.
