Nightclub Shooting: 5 Wounded After Dolton Bar Fight

Four men were shot inside, and a fifth was wounded outside Club One on Chicago Road in Dolton.

DOLTON, IL — Five men were shot and wounded, at least four critically, at a nightclub in Dolton early on Mother's Day. Dolton Police Chief Robert T. Collins said officers responded to a report of shots fired at Club One, 14112 S. Chicago Road, at around 3:45 a.m. He said the shooting was the result of an altercation on the nightclub's second floor.

Four of the victims were shot inside the club, while the fifth was outside. The shooting is considered an isolated incident, Collins said.

Todd Sherman of Northern Illinois Fireground Photos was on the scene during the initial investigation early Sunday and captured several photos from the area, including numerous shell casings found on Chicago Road. Sherman indicated the casings are from two handguns, a 9mm and 45Cal.

Collins told members of the media early Sunday that the Club One establishment is one that's "known" to law enforcement in the area.

"Shootings which occur inside establishments are hard to control," Collins said. "It's hard to control things in an environment like that."
