McDelivery: At Last, You Can Get McDonald's Delivered To Your Door

Customers in select cities can get McDonald's delivered right to their homes via McDelivery, a partnership with UberEats.

OAK BROOK, IL — McDonald's just announced a little miracle that customers have dreamed of for decades: Big Macs, fries and Signature Sandwiches delivered right to your home, office or "beyond." The service, aptly named McDelivery, is part of a partnership with UberEATS and is now available at more than 1,000 restaurants throughout Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Columbus.

"Through the ease of the UberEATS app, our customers can enjoy their favorite McDonald’s foods delivered right to them enjoying greater choice, control and personalization than ever before,” McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook said in a press release. Jason Droege, who heads up UberEverything, said Uber is "thrilled to expand [their] partnership with McDonald's in the U.S. to bring the ease and reliability of Uber's technology to deliver customer’s favorite menu items."

Two-hundred sixty-seven Chicago-area McDonald's restaurants will offer McDelivery. In Los Angeles, 300 stores are on board, along with 144 in Phoenix and 59 in Columbus. McDonald's plans to expand McDelivery throughout the U.S. within the coming months. Customers in Orlando, Tampa Bay and Miami were among the first to enjoy the miracle of McDelivery during its pilot in January. The program was so wildly popular (because it's McDonald's delivered to wherever you are) that the fast food giant decided to make McDelivery a reality.

McDonald's already operates delivery services in the Middle East and Asia. Eastbrook added that McDelivery will help "meet the consumer demand for fast and reliable delivery."

Now when are they going to make the McRib a year-round thing?
