At Risk Alamo Man Found Walking On Highway, Officials Say
Javad Shafizadeh, 82, had been missing since Sunday morning, according to authorities.
ALAMO, CA — An elderly Alamo man missing since Sunday morning was found walking on a busy highway, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office. The California Highway Patrol found Javad Shafizadeh, 82, walking on Interstate 80 early Monday morning.
Shafizadeh was headed to an appointment in Concord when left his Roundhill home without his cell phone at about 10 a.m. on Sunday. Officials asked for the public's help finding the at risk missing man.
UPDATE on MISSING PERSON: The Sheriff's Office was notified early this morning that Mr. Javad Shafizadeh was located by the CHP walking on Interstate 80. A CHP officer transported Mr. Shafizadeh home. Thank you for your interest and concern.
