Moraga Harvest Festival Details

It will take place the last Sunday of this month. Lots of fun activities are planned - bring the kids!

LAMORINDA, CA — If you love fresh apples, pomegranates, persimmons, and other fall fruits and vegetables, your chance to buy them from the farmers who grow them is coming. The annual Moraga Certified Farmers' Market Harvest Festival will place on Sunday, Oct. 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be a kid’s costume contest and parade at 10:30. Prizes will be given for best and most creative costumes. Kid’s will also receive goody bags and an apple. Family fun also includes a "Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin" contest with a $50 prize, mini-pumpkin decorating, the pumpkin pitch game and a special apple tasting.

The Moraga Certified Farmers' Market is open year round and held every Sunday at the corner of Moraga Road and Moraga Way. Family farmers bring local produce and heirloom variety fruits and vegetables that they grow themselves. During autumn, you'll find tree-ripened Gala, Jonagold, and Fuji apples, pomegranates, Asian pears, Fuyu persimmons, Delicata and Butternut squash, organic and Asian vegetables, sunflowers, baked breads, ocean fresh fish and more direct from California certified growers and gourmet food purveyors.
