BART Delays Linked To Propulsion Problem On Train

Service is disrupted throughout the entire East Bay.

EAST BAY, CA – A BART train with a propulsion problem is causing delays this morning throughout the system in the East Bay, according to the transit authorities.

BART officials issued an advisory at 8:23 a.m. about the problem that occurred in the area of the San Leandro station. Trains are having to single-track through the area, and some trains have turned back at the Coliseum and San Leandro stations, BART officials said.

Delays are affecting the Dublin/Pleasanton, Warm Springs, Richmond and Daly City lines, according to BART.

"We are very sorry for the delays and crowding, and we are working quickly to fix," the agency said.
