Moraga Man Busted For Child Porn: Police

The 21-year-old reportedly was found to have hundreds of images on multiple electronic devices, officials said.

MORAGA, CA – A 21-year-old man from Moraga was taken into custody today for alleged child- pornography crimes after a search warrant served at his residence turned up hundreds of illegal images, according to authorities.

Following up on a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a person possessing child-porn photos, the Moraga Police Department and Internet Crimes Against Children investigators served the warrant at the San Pablo Court home of Ruben Nicholas Diaz, police said.

Evidence collected at the scene allegedly revealed that Diaz had hundreds of pornographic photographs of children on multiple electronic devices, the Moraga Police Department said.

He was arrested and booked with a bail of $100,000 at the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez for suspicion of possession of child pornography.

The Moraga police were assisted in the arrest by Contra Costa County's district attorney's and sheriff's offices and the U.S. Secret Service, all affiliated with the ICAC Task Force, the department said.
