Joint Effort Possible On School Issues

The joint city council/school board committee would collaborate on "issues of mutual interest" related to education.

LAMORINDA, CA — The Orinda City Council on Tuesday may approve creation of a joint city council/school board committee to collaborate on "issues of mutual interest" related to education.

The committee would be made up of council members Nick Kosla and Amy Worth, and Orinda Union School District trustees Hillary Weiner and Jason Kaune.

This foursome - joined at appropriate times by Orinda City Manager Steve Salomon, schools Superintendent Carolyn Seaton and other city and school district officials - would meet once or twice a year, according to a city staff report.
