2 Women Shot In Daylight Flatbush Shooting: Cops

Two women, 26 and 50, were shot on Ditmas Avenue and East 21st Street Monday afternoon, police said.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Two women were shot on a Flatbush street corner in broad daylight Monday, police said.

The two women, aged 26 and 50, were shot on East 21st Street and Ditmas Avenue about 5:50 p.m., said police.

Both women were taken to Kings County Hospital and are expected to survive their injuries, police said.

A crowd gathered to watch police investigate the shooting and several people, who asked not to be named, expressed outrage at the gun violence in their neighborhood.

“We should be marching,” said one woman. “Women keep mankind alive and you’re trying to take them away too?”

Said another of the street corner, “It’s Texas.”
