Masked Bandit Dons Cape For Brooklyn Hotel Heist: Cops, Worker
Brooklyn's got a new super villain. Why is Batman never around when you need him?
BROOKLYN — A masked and caped bandit has struck terror into the hearts of workers at a Brooklyn Days Inn hotel, according to police and an employee.
The knife-wielding robber — dressed in a green mask and black cape — dashed into the Days Inn on 36th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway about 4 a.m. Friday and demanded loot at the front desk lobby, said police and a worker Patch spoke to on the phone.
"Give me your money," he shouted, according to police.

While the Halloween-ready robber might win points for fashion, his heist skills need work. The masked bandit did not steal any cash, a Days Inn worker said. He also left the 4-5-inch knife at the scene during the injury-free altercation, according to police.
The caped crook ran away, police said. Police are now looking for the man, who stood about 5 foot 8 inches and also wore a gray T-shirt and black jacket.
