The bear walked into a humane trap that had been baited with donuts by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

The trap was set in Valley Township on Monday night. Authorities swiftly moved the bear up north where he was released into a safer and wilder environment.

Black bears are native to Pennsylvania and Chester County is part of their natural habitat. However, while sightings are rare, bears can become reliant on trash as a food source in suburban areas, creating "problem behavior" over time.
