CVS Adding 30 COVID-19 Vaccine Sites In New Jersey

NEW JERSEY - There will be 30 more CVS spots for Garden State residents to get their COVID-19 inoculation starting this weekend. Other pharmacies also have announced enhanced efforts to get shots in the arm.

CVS Health will begin to administer vaccines to eligible populations as early as Sunday at 30 additional CVS Pharmacy locations across New Jersey. Appointments for the latest allocation of doses will start to become available for booking on Saturday, as stores receive shipments of vaccine, officials said.

“We’re proud to play a part in increasing access to the vaccine to as many people as possible to enable reopening efforts in the communities we serve,” CVS Pharmacy President Neela Montgomery said. “Feedback on every aspect of the vaccination process has been incredibly positive, from the digital experience to interacting with our team of health care professionals whose incredible efforts are helping to move us one step closer towards the eventual end of the pandemic.”

New Jersey Walmart and Sam’s Club locations are also administering Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to people 65 and older, and those residents can make their appointments by calling the New Jersey Senior Hotline at 856-249-7007. Read more: Walmart Offering COVID-19 Vaccine To Those 65 And Older

Vaccines at participating CVS Pharmacy locations in New Jersey will be available to individuals meeting state eligibility criteria, as well as K-12 teachers and staff and childcare workers.

Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and people without online access can contact CVS Customer Service: [(800) 746-7287]. Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided.
