More Rain, Strong Winds Headed For Phoenix: NWS

PHOENIX, AZ β€” More rain and wind are headed for the Valley this week, according to the National Weather Service.

There's a 20 percent chance of rain during the day on Tuesday, increasing to a 90 percent chance that night, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service issued a wind advisory for the Phoenix metro area from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday because of sustained southwest winds of 5-15 mph with possible gusts of up to 50 mph. These winds could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, according to the weather service. The wind could also lead to lowered visibility from blowing dust and sand.

An overnight low of 40 is forecast for Tuesday night, with a chilly high of 60 degrees on Wednesday. The rest of the week is expected to be sunny, with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s, according to the National Weather Service.
