LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Residents of Los Alamitos can expect to hear some thunderous noises through the next few months, authorities said.

At least two training flights per week are planned from August through mid-October.

"Every effort will be made to reduce aircraft noise by following noise mitigation procedures during training operations," according to a release from United States Air Force 144th Fighter Wing. "These include reduced engine thrust at altitudes below 1000 feet and by following a specific flight path."
