Actors needed Sept. 19-20 for upcoming CLC theatre production

Actors needed Sept. 19-20 for CLC production of "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised]" auditions

Actors aged 16 and older are invited to audition for the College of Lake County (CLC) Theatre Department’s production of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised].” Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19 and Tuesday, Sept. 20 at the Studio Theatre located at 19351 W. Washington St. in Grayslake.

This outrageously funny comedy explores what happens when three over-achieving actors attempt the monumental feat of presenting all of Shakespeare’s plays in a single two-hour production. Fast-paced, witty and full of madcap physicality, it’s an evening of nonstop laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike.

Those auditioning need to prepare a 90-second to two-minute memorized monologue from any Shakespeare play or sonnet. Actors need only attend one day of initial auditions and should bring an acting resumé if they have one. Actors should be available for the call-backs on Thursday, Sept. 22, 6:30-10 p.m.
