WEST NYACK, NY — Even if it isn't freezing outside, you can still go ice skating this winter, and to encourage enjoyment of the classic winter sport, the ice rink at the Palisades Center has two special offers in January.

One is classes for beginners.

Free Learn to Skate classes will be held at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 16 and and 12:30 p.m. Jan. 20. Led by skilled instructors from the Palisades Center Ice Rink’s Skate School, participants can learn in a complimentary 25-minute class, followed by an hour of free skating. Contact the Skate School at 845-232-1028 to make mandatory reservations for these classes.

“National Skating Month provides an excellent opportunity for the community to embrace ice skating,” said Darrin Houseman, General Manager of Palisades Center. “We’re thrilled the Palisades Center Ice Rink is offering these events and free classes and encourage everyone to join in the fun.”
